a)  To determine the final mass of the food, frass and larva.

b)  To calculate the Percent Energy transferred from the producer to the primary                        consumer.

1.  Review of the 2018 AP Biology FRQ – questions 4 and 5.
2. We have already massed out our cups last week. We also should written that down as well as the mass of the tissue paper. Open your cup and separate the frass, and food that was not consumed.  You also must separate and exoskeletons that were once part of the larva.
            a)  Mass out the Frass, and food and add that value together
            b)  Calculate the New mass of FINAL entire cup (with tissue paper):
            c) Calculate the final mass of your larva
FINAL Mass of the CUP –  (Frass/Food  +  CUP mass  +  Tissue paper) = larva final mass
           c) Calculate the Percent Energy transferred from food to the larva.

4/5 – Tuesday’s Homework: –

4/7 – Thursday –  B Day

Main focus –
AP REVIEW Begins!!!
Today we will start the multiple choice section of Practice Test 3. Practice Test 1 and 2 I have retired as they are no longer are appropriate for the current curriculum.  Since I have made video resources named Practice Test 3, we are starting our 1st Test with Practice Test 3.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Practice Test 3 is a secured AP resource that was an actual test given to AP Biology Students in the last few years.  Because it was given I have the statistics and the Rubric to know what raw score constitutes an AP grade of 1 -5.
In your current test you have 60 Multiple Choice questions to complete in 90 minutes. In this test you have 58 questions thus:
90 minutes / 60 questions = 1.5 minutes per multiple choice question
1.5 minutes per question X 58 questions = 87 minutes on this Part 1
SO YOUR PACING IS IMPORTANT!!!  You need to see every question so that you do not spend a lot of time on a question you might get wrong and do not get to questions you CAN get correct!
Let the FUN begin!!
We will take the complete test and I will give your AP Grade at the conclusion of this round.
